Finally found my Mexican restaurant!!! The drinks were AWESOME! The food was amazing! We shared the guacamole, which was SO good and huge! And I had the Mahi Mahi grilled tacos which were outstanding! I wish we had room for dessert, next time!
We went Sunday night of 4th of July weekend so the place was dead! Service was on point still without being overbearing. The decor is just perfect! Love it!! Looking forward to going back and hopefully it will be more lively. -

Really was hoping for better. Margaritas were ok, have had better many places.
Ordered carnitas tacos, bland at best, really regretted ordering.
Wife ordered fajitas, honestly blue moons way better.
Suggest you try elsewhere for dinner. -

The food here is fresh, delicious and made with care. Been here three times and had a different dish each time and all were great. The shrimp tacos were probably my favorite. Pair that with a Margarita de Lolita, some of their fresh guacamole and chips and it's pretty much as good as it gets. So many Mexican places make awful margaritas, but Lolita's makes a great one. To top it off, the service is attentive and friendly. Great place ticket away on Old Hook Rd!

This place has changed a couple of times since I've become aware of it, but it's now a gem. The inside is beautiful, and the food was good and fresh. Our waiter was fantastic, and the owner was a pleasure to speak with. Looks like a really great place to spend a happy hour at, too. Can't say enough good things about the atmosphere and level of comfort... music was enjoyable and my friends and I had such a great time here!

Being in the mood for Mexican food tonight but kind of sick of my usual hangouts I did a brief Google search and found Lolita's mentioned on Boozy Burbs website. I looked up the menu and thought it was worth a shot to go with my family.
I am very glad I did. Not only is this place a keeper but I think i found a new usual, despite being slightly out of the way.
The restaurant has a really need ambience and felt rather cozy and comfortable unlike a lot of Mexican restaurants that squeeze you in.
The homemade tortilla chips with salsa were fantabulous. Full of golden crunchiness. Ever since having home made chips in Mexico I've been very keen on having that here and a lot of places fail even at that. The salsa, though mild, was very flavourful with a hint of smokiness. I did ask the server if they had something spicier and he obliged with three little squirt bottles--a red, orange, and green sauce. All three were tasty and added just enough heat. I wouldn't say it was deadly spicy, but that's my high tolerance talking.
For mains I opted for the small plate flauta with shredded beef. My only complaint it was gently fried. Not that it was a necessarily bad thing, but with how golden crunchy the tortilla chips were, I was hoping the flautas would have been the same way. That being said all of the layers and flavours on the flauta itself made up for lack of crunch. Next time I will make a point to ask for it to be crunchier.
For dessert we opted for the churros. It was a heavenly pillow of yuminess. I don't recall having a churro this good. It came with six pieces and with two other adults in my party, it was perfect to share two each. The caramel was so delicious it just complemented the churro perfectly. While I do love chocolate, I often do not care for it with churros but the Oaxacan chocolate was velvety perfection. Plus taking a dip into both the chocolate and caramel made it even better.
As we were enjoying dessert, a band was there rocking out. Normally I'm not a fan of loud music as I eat, since I normally don't like the genre, but being a fan of classic rock, the band made eating dessert so much more fun.
In all, I am very glad I ventured further out as this place is definitely worth a chance.
